GeoGestmaq Privacy Policy

GeoGestmaq is an application developed by Creatics Ingeniería for working with geographic information on Android devices. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when using GeoGestmaq, how it is used, and how users can manage it.

1. Account Information

To use certain GeoGestmaq features, users may create or use an account.

GeoGestmaq may store information associated with the account, including:

• Identifiers required to manage the account and access to the services.

GeoGestmaq also allows users to sign in using authentication services provided by Google.

2. Geographic Information and Location

GeoGestmaq may request access to the device's location in order to provide features related to maps and fieldwork.

Depending on the features used, the application may process information such as:

• GPS coordinates.
• Current device location.
• Points, lines, and polygons created by the user.
• Routes recorded using GPS.
• Elevation information and other related geographic data.

Access to location data depends on the permissions granted by the user on their Android device.

3. User-Created Information

GeoGestmaq allows users to create and store information related to projects and geographic features.

• Data entered through custom forms.

• Maps and geographic files used by the user.

4. Local Storage

Some of the information used by GeoGestmaq may be stored directly on the user's device.

5. Synchronization and Cloud Storage

When users use synchronization, collaboration, or backup features, certain information may be stored using Firebase services provided by Google.

GeoGestmaq uses services such as Firebase Firestore and Firebase Cloud Storage to store information associated with user collections, including geographic data, forms, photographs, and files that are part of those collections.

GeoGestmaq's own servers may store information required to manage collections and their relationship with users, such as collection identifiers.

6. Third-Party Services

GeoGestmaq uses third-party technology services required to provide certain application features.

These services include:

• Firebase.
• Firebase Authentication.
• Firebase Firestore.
• Firebase Cloud Storage.
• Firebase Crashlytics.
• Google Maps Platform.
• Google Sign-In.

These services may process technical information necessary for their operation, such as device or installation identifiers, IP address, device technical information, and data related to the use of their services.

GeoGestmaq uses Firebase Crashlytics to detect, diagnose, and correct application errors. Crashlytics may process technical information associated with crashes, such as installation identifiers, device information, application version, operating system, technical logs, and other information necessary to analyze the source of an error.

Information collected through Crashlytics is used for stability, diagnostics, and technical improvement of GeoGestmaq, and not for advertising purposes.

7. Use of Information

Information processed by GeoGestmaq is used to provide and maintain application features, including:

• Managing user accounts.
• Displaying maps and geographic positioning.
• Creating and managing geographic features.
• Recording routes using GPS.
• Storing forms, photographs, and associated files.
• Synchronizing collections between devices.
• Allowing collections to be shared with other users when requested by the owner.
• Exporting geographic information.
• Maintaining the security and operation of the application.
• Detecting and correcting technical errors.

8. Sharing of Information

GeoGestmaq does not sell users' personal information.

Information may be transmitted or processed through technology providers used to provide application features, such as the Google and Firebase services described above.

In addition, when a user chooses to share a collection through the tools available in GeoGestmaq, the corresponding information may become available to users authorized by the collection owner.

9. Data and Account Deletion

GeoGestmaq allows users to delete their data directly from the application.

By using the available deletion options, users may request deletion of information associated with their account and data managed by GeoGestmaq, according to the features available in the application.

10. Security

GeoGestmaq uses technical measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or improper disclosure.

However, no information storage or transmission system can guarantee absolute security.

11. Communications

GeoGestmaq may use the email address provided by the user for communications related to their account, service operation, important changes, or relevant information about GeoGestmaq.

If promotional communications are used in the future, they will be sent in accordance with the consent and opt-out options available to the user.

12. Website

The GeoGestmaq public website may provide information about the application, documentation, support, and links to external services.

Currently, GeoGestmaq does not use the public website to collect personal information through registration forms or for advertising profiling.

This Privacy Policy may be updated when GeoGestmaq introduces new features, services, or changes in the way information is processed.
