Share Live GPS Location with MQTT in GeoGestmaq
Share real-time GPS locations with GeoGestmaq using local network communication and MQTT to connect nearby and remote users directly from Android.
GeoGestmaq introduces Live Channels to display the location of multiple users in real time while they work in the same collection or field area.
Real-time GPS location
Users connected to a Live Channel can be viewed directly on the map, making it possible to follow their position while they move during inspections, surveys, supervision, or field coordination.
Local network communication
When several devices are connected to the same local network, GeoGestmaq uses direct communication between them to share positions without sending all traffic through the Internet.
Connect remote users through MQTT
Users outside the local network can connect to the same Live Channel through MQTT, allowing participants on other networks, in other cities, or at different work sites to join the same session.
Hybrid LAN and MQTT architecture
GeoGestmaq combines local communication and MQTT to reduce unnecessary broker connections. Users on the same network communicate locally, while the host device acts as a bridge to remote participants.
Automatic host failover
If the device acting as host leaves the channel, GeoGestmaq can automatically select another available device to keep local communication and the connection with remote users active.
Custom MQTT server
In addition to the MQTT infrastructure available through GeoGestmaq, you can also configure your own MQTT server, allowing companies and field teams to use their own infrastructure.
